At Innitou, We Believe Clean Water is a Right—Not a Luxury

Pure Water

At Innitou, we care deeply about the health and well-being of every family we serve. That’s why we’re proud to install high-quality reverse osmosis water purification systems—because everyone deserves safe, clean drinking water in their home.

We didn’t invent these systems, but we believe in them. We’ve seen firsthand how access to pure water can transform a household: improving health, reducing dependency on single-use plastics, and offering peace of mind about what’s coming out of the tap.

Why Install a Reverse Osmosis System?

Tap water may seem safe, but studies have shown that it can contain hundreds of contaminants, including:

  • Lead

  • Chlorine

  • Arsenic

  • Nitrates

  • Pesticides

  • PFAS (forever chemicals)

  • Microplastics

According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), more than 80% of Americans have detectable levels of dangerous contaminants in their drinking water. These can contribute to a range of health issues, from digestive problems to long-term risks like cancer and developmental disorders in children.

Reverse osmosis (RO) systems remove up to 99% of these harmful substances by forcing water through a multi-stage filter and semi-permeable membrane—leaving you with nothing but clean, great-tasting water.

The truth is that your drinking water might be contaminated…

Real People. Real Homes. Real Care.

We’re not just plumbers—we’re neighbors who care. Since 1979, Innitou has been committed to helping families live better through thoughtful, expert plumbing solutions. When it comes to water, we believe clean should mean clean, and we’re here to help make that a reality.

Let’s bring healthier, safer water into your home—and build a better future, one glass at a time.

Fluoride

Although commonly added to water for dental health, high levels of fluoride over time can cause skeletal fluorosis (bone damage) and neurological issues, especially in young children. Many communities are now questioning its necessity due to potential long-term side effects.

Lead

There is no safe level of lead in drinking water—especially for children. Even low exposure can lead to permanent damage to the brain and nervous system, developmental delays, and behavioral issues. Lead can enter your water from corroded pipes and plumbing fixtures.

PFAs (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances)

Often called “forever chemicals,” PFAs are linked to serious health risks including cancer, liver damage, hormone disruption, and immune system suppression. These toxic substances don’t break down naturally and have been found in drinking water supplies across the U.S.

Arsenic

A “known human carcinogen” according to the EPA and World Health Organization that increases the risk of bladder, lung, and skin cancer at unsafe levels. Arsenic is found in drinking water across all 50 states.

Chlorine

Added to municipal water supplies to kill bacteria, chlorine may seem helpful—but when consumed in drinking water, it can contribute to long-term health problems, including increased cancer risk and damage to cells and respiratory tissues. It also affects the taste and smell of your water.

Chlorine, Nitrates, and Lead - Yikes…

Outdated regulations mean that what's coming out of your tap might not be as safe as you think. The standards haven’t kept up with modern science, leaving harmful contaminants in your everyday drinking water.
